Job Title: Head Accounts & Finance

Job Summary: The Head of Accounts Department is responsible for overseeing all financial transactions, managing the accounting team, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards. This role involves strategic planning, financial reporting, and collaborating with other departments to support the organization’s financial goals.

Key Responsibilities:

1.       Leadership and Management:

Ø  Lead and manage the accounts team, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance.

Ø  Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

2.       Financial Reporting:

Ø  Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to senior management.

Ø  Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements in accordance with relevant regulations and standards.

3.       Budgeting and Forecasting:

Ø  Collaborate with other departments to prepare annual budgets and forecasts.

Ø  Monitor budget performance and provide insights for corrective actions.

4.       Compliance and Audit:

Ø  Ensure compliance with tax laws, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.

Ø  Liaise with external auditors during audits and manage the audit process.

5.       Strategic Planning:

Ø  Participate in the development of the organization's financial strategy.

Ø  Identify opportunities for cost reduction and improved financial performance.

6.       Team Development:

Ø  Mentor and develop accounting staff through training and performance management.

Ø  Foster a collaborative and high-performance team culture.

7.      IT Returns Filing:

IT (Income Tax) returns filing is the process of submitting an individual's or organization's income tax return to the tax authorities. It is essential for compliance with tax regulations and involves reporting income, deductions, and tax liabilities.

8.       Good & Service Taxes:

      Hiring for GST (Goods and Services Tax) roles typically involves seeking candidates with expertise in GST compliance, tax planning, and regulations. These roles are crucial for ensuring that a business adheres to GST laws, optimizes tax liabilities, and maintains accurate records.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field & CA /ICWA / CS
     
  • Minimum [15 years] of experience in accounting, with at least [ 5 years] in a leadership role.

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting standards.

  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficient in accounting software and MS Office Suite.
