Over view of the Job:
The Senior Manager of Facility Management is responsible for overseeing and ensuring the efficient operation of all facility-related activities within the organization. This role includes Building repair & maintenance, Soft Services, Energy management, Infrastructure development.
The Senior Manager will lead a team of facility professionals and collaborate closely with other departments to ensure a safe, efficient, and productive work environment.
Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
Ø Oversee day-to-day operations of all facilities, ensuring the delivery of services according to established standards.
Ø Monitor the performance of building systems ( Which Includes House Keeping, AC, Electrical, plumbing, Carpentry, Painting, making sure that all systems are in good working order.
Ø Coordinate maintenance schedules and ensure minimal disruption to building occupants.
Ø Develop, implement, and optimize facilities management policies and procedures.
Ø Handle repair and maintenance work, including carpentry, plumbing, painting, and electrical services, ensuring all work is completed in a timely and efficient manner.
Housekeeping Management
- Oversee the housekeeping team to ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and upkeep of all facilities.
- Ensure that regular cleaning schedules are maintained for all common areas, restrooms, and workspaces.
- Manage housekeeping supplies and ensure inventory levels are maintained.
Building & Infrastructure Maintenance:
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee facility-related projects, including renovations, improvements, and expansions.
- Develop project timelines, manage resources, and ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders and external contractors to deliver successful project outcomes.
Vendor & Contractor Management:
· Manage relationships with external contractors, suppliers, and service providers, ensuring contracts are adhered to, and performance meets or exceeds expectations.
· Oversee vendor selection, contract negotiation, and procurement of facility-related services and equipment.
Team Management:
- Lead, supervise, and manage a team of facility staff, including technicians, and other personnel.
Budget & Financial Management
- Develop and manage the facility management budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
- Monitor spending, control costs, and identify areas for financial savings.
- Approve and track expenditures related to facility operations, repairs, and improvements.
Reporting & Documentation
- Provide regular reports on facility performance, operational issues, and budget status to senior management.
- Maintain accurate records of facility maintenance, service contracts, inspections, and compliance reports.
Knowledge & Skills:
· Conduct regular audits and performance reviews of vendors and service providers. Proficiency with facility management software and systems.
· In-depth knowledge of building systems, maintenance practices.
· Strong leadership and people management skills, with experience in managing teams and developing talent.
· Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
· Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
· Knowledge of environmental sustainability practices and energy-efficient technologies.
