 Key Responsibilities:

• Academic Leadership: Provide visionary leadership and strategic direction for academic programs, curriculum development, and educational initiatives in alignment with institutional goals, industry trends, and regulatory requirements. Foster a culture of academic excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement to enhance teaching and learning outcomes.

• Faculty Management: Recruit, retain, and develop a diverse and talented faculty team comprising professors, associate professors, and assistant professors across various disciplines. Support faculty professional development, scholarly activities, and pedagogical innovation to promote teaching effectiveness and student engagement.

• Curriculum Development: Oversee the design, development, and review of academic curricula, course materials, and learning resources to ensure relevance, rigor, and alignment with program objectives and accreditation standards. Introduce new programs, majors, or concentrations based on market demand, industry needs, and emerging trends.

• Program Accreditation: Lead efforts to obtain and maintain accreditation from relevant accrediting bodies and regulatory agencies for academic programs offered by the college. Ensure compliance with accreditation standards, guidelines, and reporting requirements to uphold program quality and institutional credibility.

• Student Support: Collaborate with student affairs, counseling services, and academic advisors to provide comprehensive support services, mentorship, and guidance to students. Address academic issues, concerns, and grievances in a timely and equitable manner to promote student success, retention, and satisfaction.

• Research and Innovation: Promote a culture of research, innovation, and scholarly activity among faculty members and students. Encourage interdisciplinary collaboration, research partnerships, and funding opportunities to advance knowledge creation, technology transfer, and societal impact.

• Community Engagement: Foster relationships with industry partners, government agencies, community organisations, and professional associations to enhance collaboration, experiential learning, and workforce development initiatives. Identify opportunities for service-learning projects, internships, and community outreach programs to benefit students and society.

• Budget and Resource Management: Manage academic budgets, allocate resources, and optimise faculty workload to support academic programs, faculty development activities, and student learning experiences. Ensure efficient utilisation of resources, facilities, and technology to meet academic goals and priorities.

Qualifications:

 Doctoral degree (Ph.D) in a relevant field from an accredited institution. Postdoctoral experience and academic credentials are preferred.

• Minimum of 7 years of progressive academic leadership experience in higher education, including roles such as department chair, program director, or academic dean.

• Strong academic background and scholarly achievements in a discipline related to the college's programs and offerings.

• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to inspire, motivate, and empower faculty, staff, and students toward shared goals and objectives.

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and consensus-building skills, with the ability to foster a collaborative and inclusive academic environment.

• Knowledge of accreditation standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices in academic program development, assessment, and continuous improvement.

• Visionary thinking, strategic planning, and problem-solving abilities to navigate complex challenges, seize opportunities, and drive institutional success.
