Job Summary:
The Construction Safety Officer is responsible for ensuring that all safety regulations and procedures are strictly followed at construction sites. They promote a culture of health and safety awareness, identify potential hazards, and help develop safe systems of work to prevent incidents and injuries.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor and enforce compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments.
Develop and implement site-specific safety plans (SSSP).
Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses; prepare reports with corrective actions.
Deliver safety training and toolbox talks to workers and subcontractors.
Maintain accurate records of safety audits, incidents, and training.
Ensure proper use and maintenance of PPE and safety equipment.
Coordinate emergency drills and ensure first aid arrangements are in place.
