Key Responsibilities
1. Teaching & Instruction

Teach core physics courses such as:

Classical Mechanics

Electromagnetism

Quantum Mechanics

Thermodynamics & Statistical Mechanics

General Physics (algebra-based and calculus-based)

Develop and update course materials, syllabi, and laboratory experiments.

Utilize innovative and inclusive teaching methodologies.

Supervise undergraduate and/or graduate research projects.

Maintain regular office hours and provide academic advising to students.
2. Research & Scholarship
-
Establish and maintain an active, independent research program.
-
Publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals.
-
Apply for and secure external research funding (e.g., grants from government or private agencies).
-
Present research at national and international conferences.
-
Collaborate with faculty within and outside the department.
3. Service & Engagement
-
Participate in departmental, college, and university committees.

Contribute to curriculum development and program assessment.

Engage in student recruitment and outreach initiatives.

Participate in professional organizations and academic communities.
Required Qualifications

Ph.D. in Physics or closely related field (completed by start date).

Demonstrated ability or strong potential for effective teaching.

Evidence of scholarly research and publication record.

Strong written and oral communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications

Postdoctoral research experience.

Record of external funding or potential to secure grants.

Experience teaching diverse student populations.

Expertise in a specialized area of physics (e.g., condensed matter, astrophysics, high-energy physics, biophysics, computational physics).
