We are seeking a dynamic and committed academic professional to join our faculty as an Assistant Professor in Costume Design and Fashion. The candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and/or postgraduate students, conducting research, guiding student projects, and contributing to the academic and cultural growth of the department.

Key Responsibilities:
Teach courses in Costume Design, Fashion Studies, Textile Science, Apparel Production, Pattern Making, Draping, Fashion Illustration, History of Costume & Fashion, CAD in Fashion, and related subjects.
Mentor students in academic, research, and practical projects, fostering creativity and innovation.
Supervise student internships, exhibitions, fashion shows, and industry collaborations.
Develop innovative curricula and teaching methodologies to keep pace with industry standards and trends.
Contribute to departmental activities, including seminars, workshops, exhibitions, and guest lectures.
Engage in research and publish in reputed journals/conferences in the field of costume design and fashion.
Actively participate in academic administration, accreditation processes, and quality enhancement initiatives.
Build and maintain industry linkages for placements, internships, and collaborative projects.
Qualifications & Experience:
Master’s Degree in Costume Design & Fashion / Fashion Design / Textile & Apparel Design / Fashion Technology / Costume & Apparel Studies or equivalent from a recognized university.
Ph.D. (preferred or pursuing) in a relevant field.
Demonstrated teaching, research, or professional experience in fashion and costume design.
Strong portfolio showcasing expertise in design, garment construction, textiles, or related areas.
Knowledge of current industry trends, sustainable fashion practices, and digital tools (CAD, 3D design software, etc.).
Skills Required:
Excellent communication, presentation, and mentoring skills.
Creative and innovative mindset with strong aesthetic sensibility.
Ability to integrate traditional and modern fashion design techniques.
Research aptitude and interest in publishing academic work.
Team player with leadership qualities to engage in collaborative academic work.
