Job Purpose:
To lead the MBA department by providing academic and administrative leadership, ensuring high standards of teaching, research, student development, and industry engagement, in alignment with institutional goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Academic Leadership

Oversee curriculum design, development, and continuous improvement in line with industry needs and university regulations.

Ensure effective delivery of courses through innovative teaching and learning practices.

Promote research, publications, and case study development among faculty and students.

Guide faculty members in adopting modern pedagogical tools and outcome-based education (OBE) practices.
Administration & Management
-
Supervise faculty and staff of the MBA department, including recruitment, training, and performance evaluation.

Plan and monitor departmental budgets, resources, and infrastructure requirements.

Ensure compliance with university, AICTE, NAAC, NBA, and other regulatory frameworks.

Coordinate academic timetables, examinations, and assessments.
Student Development

Mentor students for academic, professional, and personal growth.

Organize workshops, seminars, guest lectures, and industry visits.

Facilitate internships, placement opportunities, and career guidance programs.
Industry & Research Engagement

Build strong industry-academia linkages for placements, internships, live projects, and consultancy.

Encourage faculty and students to engage in applied research, publications, and conferences.

Collaborate with professional bodies and associations for knowledge exchange.
Quality & Accreditation

Drive accreditation, rankings, and quality initiatives of the MBA program.

Monitor learning outcomes and implement corrective actions for continuous improvement.
Qualifications & Experience:

Ph.D. in Management / MBA from a reputed institution.

Minimum 10–15 years of teaching and academic experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

Strong research background with publications in reputed journals.

Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
-
Industry exposure will be an added advantage.
