Key Responsibilities
1. Teaching & Instruction

Teach courses such as:

Graphic Design Fundamentals

Typography

Visual Identity & Branding

Digital Media Design

UI/UX Design

Motion Graphics

Advertising & Visual Strategy

Develop and update course syllabi, studio projects, and assessment tools.

Provide instruction in design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, motion tools).

Guide students in conceptual development, design thinking, and portfolio preparation.

Critique student work and provide constructive feedback.
-
Supervise capstone projects, internships, or thesis projects.
2. Research / Creative Practice
-
Maintain an active creative, professional, or scholarly practice in visual communication.

Exhibit creative work in national/international exhibitions or publish in design journals.
-
Engage in research related to design theory, visual culture, branding, or digital media.
-
Seek external funding or collaborative design opportunities where appropriate.
-
Contribute to interdisciplinary creative initiatives.
3. Service & Engagement

Serve on departmental and institutional committees.

Participate in accreditation processes and curriculum development.

Support student design clubs, exhibitions, and competitions.
-
Engage with industry partners for internships and collaborative projects.

Participate in outreach activities, workshops, and community engagement programs.
Required Qualifications
-
Master’s degree (MFA preferred) in Visual Communication, Graphic Design, Communication Design, or related field.

Demonstrated professional or academic experience in visual communication design.

Strong portfolio showcasing creative and/or scholarly work.
-
Proficiency in current design tools and technologies.
Preferred Qualifications
-
Ph.D. in Design, Visual Communication, or related field (for research-focused institutions).

Industry experience in branding, advertising, digital media, or UX/UI design.

Record of exhibitions, publications, or funded projects.

Experience teaching at the university level.

Knowledge of emerging technologies (AR/VR, AI in design, interactive media).
